Displayport sometime seem to have the sleep issues (maybe it is just my computer), but instead use the HDMI port which is not having issues. Love it, but now my eyes don't like the reflections from lighting and bothers me after some years, so the matted unreflective coat on the LG 27UL850 works better for me. Under the item display you find the geuschten the area of. Probably spoiled having my Apple Thunderbolt Monitor. One of the best USB-C monitors may just be the best monitor for your MacBook Pro. As long as I just look at the screen and don't really pay attention to anything else of the monitor, it is fine. Seems really cheaply built, but the screen is nice. So.I bought an LG 27UL850 instead and it does the job.

I was using just one thunderbolt 3 to thunderbolt 2 adapter, but probably could have used two into the Mac Pro 2013 to give it more power, but decided I did not want to keep having issues and the price tag didn't seem worth it for a 4k monitor in 2020. It would go asleep and I would have to unplug and boot again. Though it works, it constantly had issues with powering up after the first boot screen. Returned the LG 4K Ultrafine Monitor to Apple. Geekbench identifies it as a "Radeon Pro 580X." It'll be interesting to see how it compares on the Mac over the TB2 bus. I ran Geekbench 5 and it scored 36125 for OpenCL. I selected that since it's the same GPU as in the iMac. I manually installed the Pro 580 Boot Camp driver. Then the AMD drivers wouldn't recognize it.
At first it didn't show up in the device manager, so I updated Windows and the BIOS, etc and it finally recognized it. It was a little challenging getting Windows to recognize it. I'm still waiting for a TB3 adapter and TB2 cable to arrive to connect it to the Mac, but in the meantime I connected it to an Intel NUC. I couldn't have built my own eGPU for that. I found a Blackmagic eGPU for a good price, so I snagged it.
It looks like the last one that sold on there was in February.
